## What is Froggy Friends Staking?

[Rarity Based Staking](/froggy-friends/usdribbit-token#rarity-based-staking) launched on April 28th giving you the ability to stake your frogs and begin earning passive $RIBBIT tokens daily. The rarity tier of your froggy determines your daily $RIBBIT income. You can also use the [*Rarity Bot*](/froggy-friends/tools/rarity-bot) in our discord to find the $RIBBIT output of your frog. \

## FAQs

## Where do my Froggy Friends go?

When you stake your Froggy Friends they are transferred out of your wallet and into the staking contract in order to begin accruing $RIBBIT.

## Do I keep my Froggy when I unstake?

Yes the same froggy you staked is the same one that's returned to you when you unstake. Unstaking will transfer your froggy from the staking contract back to your wallet.&#x20;

## Will staking cost gas?

Staking requires a one time transaction gas fee to approve transferring your NFTs to the staking contract and an additional transaction gas fee for committing the transfer.&#x20;

## What is $RIBBIT?

$RIBBIT is an ERC-20 utility token and is **not a financial investment**. $RIBBIT can only be spent within the Froggy Friends ecosystem for things such as in-game items, unlockable content, boosts and future items to come. Learn more about [RIBBIT](/froggy-friends/usdribbit-token). $RIBBIT will be seeded in our Liquidity Pond.&#x20;

## Where are my tokens?

Your tokens are safely stored in our staking contract until you are ready to *claim* them. Claiming will be available on our website and cost a gas fee to process a transaction that transfers them from the staking contract to your wallet.

## Where do I claim?

Claiming will be available on the Froggy Friends [website](https://www.froggyfriendsnft.com/) for a gas fee. Your wallet will be prompted to sign and pay for the transaction that transfers your $RIBBIT tokens to your wallet.&#x20;

## Why can't I see $RIBBIT on Metamask?

You need to import the $RIBBIT token into metamask using our official contract address. Copy and paste the contract address into the import token feature on Metamask to view your balance.

## Can I lose $RIBBIT?

You can not lose $RIBBIT since your NFT and tokens are stored on the staking contract. Only you can withdraw your NFT and tokens.

## Can I sell while staking?

Since your froggy is deposited into the staking contract you will not be able to sell it while it begins staking. You must unstake first in order to sell your froggy.&#x20;

## What are Friend boosts?

Friend companions to your Froggies will be purchasable on the Froggy Friends Marketplace and provide your froggy a staking boost. A Friend and it's accompanying boost can only be paired with one Froggy and is burned as soon as you pair them.&#x20;

Friends will be purchasable with $RIBBIT but will come with a big price tag. Save up your tokens to purchase a Friend pair-able with your Froggy and receive a unique staking boost. **A Froggy can only pair with one Friend at a time**. ## RIBBIT Tokenomics

Our system will be designed to balance the $RIBBIT ecosystem and ensure sustainability. $RIBBIT purchased on the marketplace will be transferred to the community wallet for periodic burning of the circulating supply as needed. When $RIBBIT is first launched the circulating supply starts at zero until holders begin staking. \

### Do I pay gas to purchase items?

A gas fee will be required to purchase items on the $RIBBIT Marketplace.&#x20;

### Are items NFTs?

Items are ERC-1155 NFTs that will be part of a $RIBBIT Marketplace [collection](https://opensea.io/collection/ribbit-items). Some items like Friends will be burned upon use.&#x20;

### Where can I see items I purchase?

Items will show up on your wallet as well as the staking page on the website so you can see your entire Froggy Friends portfolio in one place. Meet the Friends - Rabbit, Bear, Red Panda, Cat and Unicorn.

Froggy holders will be able to purchase Friends using $RIBBIT tokens on the Froggy Friends Marketplace on June 10th @ 6pm PST. **Friends are not a new collection**, they are paired with your Froggy in your NFT image. Each friend gives your Froggy a [staking boost](/froggy-friends/usdribbit-token#boosts) based on tier and will join your Froggy in Worldwide Webb!

## Do I have to pay gas to buy a Friend?

Purchasing Friends on the marketplace with $RIBBIT will require a gas fee.&#x20;

Pairing your Friend and applying the boost to your Froggy will require a gas fee.&#x20;

## Can I pair multiple Friends?

Only one Friend can be paired with a Froggy at a time.&#x20;

## Can I upgrade my Friend?

Yes you can purchase a higher tier Friend boost for your Froggy with $RIBBIT tokens on the Froggy Friends Marketplace. To upgrade to a new boost you will have to unpair your existing Friend and they will be gone forever.&#x20;

## How do I unpair a Friend?

You will be able to unpair a Friend from you Froggy on the website. Unpairing will require a gas fee.&#x20;

## Can I lose my boost?

When you sell a Froggy that's paired with a Friend the new owner receives the staking boost that comes with the Friend.  &#x20;


# Froggy Factory

The factory that produces your 2d, 3d and pixel frogs & friends.

The Froggy Factory is the backbone of our metaverse integrations that takes any froggy friend and produces the 2d, 3d and pixel versions of the frog. The factory will produce the assets needed for our metaverse integration with the [Otherside ](https://opensea.io/assets/ethereum/0x34d85c9cdeb23fa97cb08333b511ac86e1c4e258/47003)and [WorldWideWebb3](https://opensea.io/assets/ethereum/0xa1d4657e0e6507d5a94d06da93e94dc7c8c44b51/7992). Let's take a dive inside the Froggy Factory.&#x20;

## Production Lines

The factory consists of production lines who take the metadata pieces of a frog and assemble them into a fully illustrated froggy friend. The factory consists of 3 production lines:&#x20;

1. 2D Production Line
2. 3D Production Line
3. Pixel Production Line

## Assembly Robots

The assembly robots work on the production lines and are responsible for assembling the metadata pieces of a frog into the fully illustrated version. The assembly robots begin working when the production line conveyer belt turns on. What turns the conveyer belt on?

## Conveyer Belt Switch

The conveyer belt of a production line is turned on with a switch that triggers anytime a holder makes a change to the metadata of their frog. These changes can involve dressing their frog with a costume, removing a costume, pairing their frog with a friend or removing a paired friend. These metadata changes turn on the switch of a production line inside the Froggy Factory. &#x20;

## Products

When the assembly robots do their thing and finish assembling your frog assets they update the visual of your NFT on opensea so you can see all versions of your frog in once place. Here's a sneak peek of the design for our Froggy Factory produced frogs:

# Trait Market

It's time to go shopping and spend your $RIBBIT!

It's time to go shopping and spend that $RIBBIT! New traits will now be added to the Ribbit Marketplace in limited time drops throughout the year. We can't wait to see what trait combinations our holders create! Let's take a dive into how you can purchase traits and apply them to your Froggy!\ <br>

**What is Season One?**

Season One is our first Froggy Traits season that features four drops in the month of February 2023. Each trait drop in season one will be a unique bundle of traits that fit it's own theme. You can see the full list of season one drops here - [Season One](/froggy-friends/trait-market/season-one).

**How to purchase traits**\
\
All new traits will initially be available to mint on [The Shop](https://froggyfriendsnft.com/market) section of our website on Feb 3rd 2023. However, traits will also be tradable on the secondary market via our [Ribbit Items Collection](https://marketplace.froggyfriendsnft.com/collections/0x1f6a5cf9366f968c205467bd7a9f382b3454dfb3)!

**How many traits can you purchase**

There will be a one per wallet limit on all traits to ensure more people have an opportunity to purchase a trait.&#x20;

**Who can buy traits?**

Anyone can purchase traits on the Trait Market you do not need to have a specific frog in order to buy the new traits.

**Do frogs have to be unstaked to apply the traits?**\
\
Frogs do not need to be unstaked to apply the new traits. Trait upgrades can be done on any frog regardless of staking status.\
\
**How to apply traits to your Froggy**\
\
Traits can be applied onto your Froggy via the [Froggy Studio](https://froggyfriendsnft.com/studio). You will be able to preview the traits and how they appear on your Froggy before applying them to your metadata.

**Will there be restrictions when applying traits?**

When you select a frog in the Trait Studio it will only show you compatible traits it can be upgraded to. The Trait Studio will also tell you if a trait combination has been taken.&#x20;

**What if my trait combination is taken?**

If your trait combination is taken and you can not apply the hat you wanted for example you can check opensea listings for unique combinations that are not taken and upgrade the frog with multiple traits to create a unique combination. \
\
**DISCLAIMER**\
• After applying the trait to your Froggy, the trait (Ribbit Item token) will be burned.\
• There is not an option to switch back to your Froggy's original traits, once a genesis trait is swapped out it can no longer be recovered.\
• While some traits can apply to all Froggys, there are traits that are only swappable with certain traits (e.g Ice skin can only be applied to Froggy's with the Glass skin trait.\ <br>

# Community Suggestions

## Holder proposed suggestions

Using Snapshot.org holders are able to create suggestions to the team and hold voting periods where other holders can vote on said suggestions.&#x20;

Proposals will be voted on in a single-choice voting format and pass with a 51% majority vote. As soon as proposals are created voting begins and lasts for 5 days. At the end of the 5th day the results are solidified and the suggestion either passes or fails.

Suggestions that pass are then considered by the team for implementation. There is no guarantee that proposals created through Snapshot.org will be implemented but they will be thoroughly discussed by the Froggy Friends team.&#x20;

## Proposals

Proposals should have a title and description that accurately describes the idea and a clear distinction of what voting yes and no means. Here's the first proposal created by Fonzy:<br>

## Voting

Froggy Friends holders and stakers can vote and the system will count all of the frogs you have staked and unstaked as votes. Here are sample scenarios for counting votes:

* Holding 10 frogs in your wallet will grant you 10 votes
* Staking 10 frogs will grant you 10 votes
* Holding 5 frogs in your wallet and staking 5 frogs will grant you 10 votes

In all cases your total number of frogs owned will count as your vote total, **however you can only vote on the proposal one time.**&#x20;

## Results

Once a proposal passes it will take into effect immediately unless otherwise stated by the proposal itself or the team according to our timeline.&#x20;

The team will do our best to honor results for proposals that are presented by holders. Proposals that are unreasonable, unserious or hurt the brand in a way that the team deems detrimental will be rejected with a clear explanation for the rejection.&#x20;

Holders are encouraged to submit suggestions for the community to vote on.

## FAQs

### How many times can I vote?

You can only vote one time on a proposal.&#x20;

### How will my votes be counted?

Each frog you own either held or staked will count as one vote. If you own 10 frogs you will have 10 votes counted.&#x20;

### When does voting end?

As soon as a proposal is created and voting goes live you will have 5 days to cast your vote before final results are solidified.&#x20;

### How many wallets can I vote with?

You can vote on any wallet that holds a froggy friend at most one time.&#x20;

### Who can create proposals?

Any froggy friends owner can create a proposal on our Snapshot.org page.&#x20;

We partnered with Froggy Friend holder [@K](https://twitter.com/Yakpimp) to deliver a discord Rarity Bot using our official [Rarity Sniper](/froggy-friends/tools/rarity-sniper) rankings. Froggy holders can now use the rarity bot in the discord by using the command **!froggy** along with their Froggy ID.&#x20;
